I N T R O D U C T I O N The Gnostic movement is a fellowship which has nothing in common with other well-known societies, since the aim of this Movement is the happiness of the human being, without making a distinction, and endeavouring to transform the rational animal into a conscious Man, and this one in a Superman.

The Gnostic Institute of Anthropology (I.G.A.)
It is an institution formed by men and women whose only common interest is to study and practise the Gnostic Knowledge in all the different fields of the human activity: Science, Art, Philosophy, Mysticism, Psychology, Metaphysics... The Gnostic Institute of Anthropology is an organization which spreads the Gnostic Teachings delivered by V.M. Samael Aun Weor. The Gnostic Institute of Anthropology does not pursue any profits. The Congresses

The congressees are a good chance for all of us to struggle for the liberation of Mankind, of helping people to find the divine light of Gnosis.It is a wonderful chance to help and be helped. The Gnostic Institute of Anthropology, fulfils the aims of the gnostic teaching, which are to foster the study of Gnosis or Knowledge and work for the benefit of Mankind,and organizes periodical conferences, conventions and congresses. Therefore, and fulfilling the will of V.M. Samael and V.M. Litelantes, different European and International Congresses have been held since some years ago.

The Next Congress ( Madrid 2005 )

The next congress to take place is the 17th International Gnostic Congress of Anthropology which will take place in the welcoming city of Madrid in August 2005.

The motto of the Congress is "Philosophía Perennis et Universalis." The Greek term `philosophia´ comes from the Greek philos: friend and sophia: wisdom, therefore, a philosopher is a friend of the wisdom. But, in the old Greece the word philos embraced a deeper sense, the one of "lover", and from here, we understand that a philosopher is somebody who loves the wisdom. The Gnosis, from the Greek "knowledge", it is a natural function of the conscience, it is the search of the Truth, without a beginning or end, perennial and universal.

In this way, the Congress will enrich the attendants of the Congress with all the activities that will be developed: lectures based on Gnostic instructors´ studies on anthropology topics, esoterism, art, science, religion, symbolism, etc. Practices for the man's harmonic development which will include the relaxation, the attention, the meditation, self-exploration.... Trips and visits to some of the most interesting resorts in Toledo, a magical city, where the Muslim and Christian cultures lived in harmony, and in it the history and the mythology are intertwined in this universal capital. Audio-visual works, musical studies, artistic activities and a suitable atmosphere for the interior work to deepen in the Gnostic teachings.

The goddess Cibeles
The goddess's sphinx Cibeles in her chariot drawn by lions, is the most representative monument in the city of Madrid. Cibeles is the Latin name of the Greek goddess Rea , wife of Saturn and Great Mother of all the Gods. As Cibeles governed the mountains and fortresses, her crown had the shape of a wall, and it was also known by the Romans as Mater Turrita. As well as in the Egyptian theogony, Isis is sister and wife of Osiris; Cibeles,our blessed Interior Mother, was also sister and wife of Saturn (Cronos) and together they governed the universe.
As Saturn was told that one of their children was destined to remove him from the throne, he tried to avoid that setback of the fortune by devouring their offsprings as soon as they were born. (Let us remember that according to the alchemy tradition Saturn, the universal solvent should devour or transmute his children or metals so that a new body is born to originate philosophical stone ) When their sixth son was born, the god Jupiter, Cibeles hid the newborn one in the island of Crete and she deceived her husband by giving him a stone wrapped in diapers (the philosophical stone ) that he devoured in the belief that he was his child . Then, when Zeus arrived at a mature age, he forced his father to vomit the stone, together with the other five children that Cibeles had given birth : Poseidón, god of the sea; Hades, god of the deads; Ceres, (Deméter), goddess of the earth; Vesta (Hestia), goddess of the home, and Juno,(Hera), goddess of the marriage who ended up being Jupiter´s wife (Zeus).	Cibeles (Rea) entrega a Saturno una piedra simulando ser su hijo Júpiter.
